Eager fans of the hit manga-turned-anime series “One Punch Man” were ecstatic about the news of a second season announced last September. However, no studio has yet confirmed its production or given a target date for its release.

But one fan has raised the hopes of many again, as he uploaded on Twitter a scan of a Japanese advertisement confirming the production of the successful anime.

“One Punch Man Season 2 confirmed.Production is in progress. Exact date is TBA. (This scan is pretty bad btw),” wrote Twitter user @KenXyro.

The hit show follows the adventures of the overpowering protagonist Saitama and his quest to finally find a worthy adversary.

The first season had 12 episodes and 5 OVAs (original video animations) called “One Punch Man specials.” Season 1 was also recently picked up by internet-television giant Netflix.  Khristian Ibarrola /ra
