Beyoncé has fulfilled the dying wish of one of her “Beyhives” on Wednesday with a FaceTime video message.
Ebony “Ebob” Banks, a Texas teenager diagnosed with stage four cancer, chatted with the “Lemonade” hitmaker using the video call app. Beyoncé was filmed telling Banks “I love you” while waving to the screen. Twitter fan accounts of the singer and Banks’ high school Twitter page shared the touching video.
Banks, a student at Alief High School, has spent her senior year battling a rare type of cancer. Her high school recently surprised her with a graduation ceremony inside her hospital. In hopes of accomplishing her final wish, Banks’ friends and classmates formulated the hashtag #EbobMeetsBeyonce on social media sites. With their collective efforts, the hashtag trended online and caught the attention of Beyoncé herself.

“Banks is a really big fan of Beyoncé and she has so much love for her that we really want to get (Banks) to meet her,” senior Cristal Depaz told local news site KTRK TV. Another classmate of Banks, Karina Gutierrez, said, “Beyoncé is one of her idols. She admires her so much, so we’re trying to put that on Twitter and Instagram to get Beyonce’s attention.”
