‘No Game, No Life Zero’ movie to be released this year
While fans still eagerly await a second season to the anime franchise “No Game, No Life”, a teaser for a 2017 movie surfaced in the anime’s official website.
The teaser revealed the movie to be titled as “No Game, No Life Zero”. It also revealed that staff and cast from the TV anime will be returning to reprise their roles, reports Anime News Network.
Apparently, it will cover volume 6 of the light novels, which tells the tale of The Great War, 6,000 years prior to the events of the TV anime. The film will be animated once again by Madhouse and will have a stage spot at the popular anime consumer show AnimeJapan 2017 on March 26, where hopefully more details will be revealed.
The “No Game, No Life” TV anime first aired in 2014. It was animated by Madhouse and lasted for 12 episodes, plus 6 special episodes included in the Blu-ray and DVD releases.
The light novel currently has 10 volumes available in Japan, and nine for the English-speaking market published by Yen Press. Alfred Bayle/JB
