In one very emotional moment, former Miss Universe 1993 Dayanara Torres got reunited with her former aide Nanay Beth on ABS-CBN’s morning TV talk show “Magandang Buhay.”
The daily morning show, hosted by Karla Estrada, Jolina Magdangal and Melai Cantiveros, paved the way for the reunion of the two, who were both in tears.
Nanay Beth used to accompany the Puerto Rican beauty in all her commitments when was active in her show-biz career in the country.
Netizens reacted to the video, saying Torres seemed so genuine in her reunion with her former aide, all the more firing up their love for her.
As soon as she recited her message for Yari, as Torres was called, Nanay Beth broke down and cried.
“You know that I love you very much, you know that and I miss you. Even though you are not here anymore, you know I always pray for you. I’m old already, I don’t know if we will see each other again. I miss you, I hope you will miss me too,” she told Torres.
Torres hugged her in appreciation for her loving message. Some in the audience were caught on camera in tears.
Comedian Bayani Agbayani also graced the Feb. 7 guesting of Torres on “Magandang Buhay” to pay tribute to the former Miss Universe. He and Torres worked together in the 1999 action-comedy flick, “Type Kita Walang Kokontra,” which was top-billed by Torres and action star Cesar Montano.
