LOOK: ‘A Walk to Remember’ stars Moore, West reunite
The stars of the nostalgic coming-of-age film “A Walk to Remember” reunited for a selfie that would melt fans’ hearts.
On Instagram on Sunday, Mandy Moore posted a picture with her former leading man, Shane West, and director, Adam Shankman.
“Welp. These two gentlemen are still some of the best around. Loved catching up with you, Shane West and Adam Shankman. My [heart] is full,” she captioned her post, coupled with the hashtags #AWalkToRemember and #Reunion.
Shankman also posted another snap of their mini-reunion since the 2002 breakout movie. “After 15 years their love is still like the wind: I can’t see it but I will always feel it,” he described it.
Last week, the actors shared their tributes for the film’s 15th anniversary. Moore and West shared throwback photos of their modern-day “Romeo and Juliet” flick.
“In honor of the 15th anniversary of A Walk To Remember, let’s take a walk down memory lane,” Moore wrote. On the other hand, her then on-screen lover said, “It seems it’s the 15th anniversary of the little engine that could….A Walk To Remember. Time flies. Your love and support for this film will always put a smile on our faces.”
The film, based on the 1999 novel by Nicholas Sparks, tells the captivating yet tragic tale of Jamie Sullivan, a leukemia-stricken student who falls in love with Landon Carter, an impish teenager. It grossed $47.5 million (P2.3 trillion) worldwide. Gianna Francesca Catolico
