Bea Alonzo

I am a self-confessed avid viewer of ABS-CBN’s “A Love to Last.” Bea Alonzo and Ian Veneracion give a refreshing spin on the tug-of-war called love.

They make you want to forget the unwritten rule of not falling in love with a coworker.

Whatever role Bea portrays, she knows how to draw you to her. It doesn’t matter who her leading man is, because Bea’s performance is always more than enough to get you hooked. The camera adores her—and so do we.

FEATURED STORIES

Here’s my chat with Bea:

What do you think is the formula for love to last?  Respect and friendship should be its foundation. You also have to be good friends. And you have to choose to love that person again and again, even during times when he/she is unlovable.

What do you find hard to resist in guys? Sweetness—or when they make me feel like I matter.

What’s the most important love lesson you have learned so far? I have learned when to let go. Just because love fails doesn’t mean you can’t love again.

How has your definition of love changed after your past relationships? I used to be idealistic. I’m more realistic now, although there are times when I still get swept off my feet. The biggest lesson is learning to love myself first before someone else.

What sets Ian apart from the other actors you have worked with? It’s amazing how he has not lost the child in him.

What are your plans for 2017?  To learn flower arrangement, pottery, playing a song on the piano, a new language.

Take a class abroad on something that interests me. I want to go camping and try watching a movie alone.

What do you enjoy most when you are with Gerald Anderson? His spontaneity.

What’s your dream marriage proposal? I want something that will surprise me.

If your life story were adapted into a movie, what would the title be?  “Grace.”

Guess List

Has-Been Actor (HBA) is under the spell of his Sleazy Girlfriend (SGF). HBA used to be in good terms with his Ex-Wife (EW, an actress), but since SGF came into the picture, he had to distance himself from her. SGF had the audacity to send EW a sweet photo of her and HBA. What for? EW couldn’t care less.

What appalls EW is that HBA is demanding receipts for the allowance he sends for their kid. He didn’t use to do that. It’s ruining the friendship they have nurtured even after they parted ways. It’s as if HBA is in a trance. He better exorcise SGF out of his system, lest he self-destructs.

Insecure Girlfriend (IGF) of Loquacious Celebrity (LC) is overstepping her boundaries. Just because the Ex-Wife (EW) of LC makes her feel welcome even during family affairs, IGF should have the delicadeza  not to be present during occasions where she isn’t exactly a part of.

How she guards LC like a hawk! How dare IGF intrude into family bonding time of LC and his kids. Sooner or later, LC would get suffocated and want to “pack up and change casting.”
