Superstar Nora Aunor was giddy with excitement when she attended her nth Parade of Stars for her latest Metro Manila Film Festival entry, “Kabisera.”

La Aunor, everyone’s Ate Guy, enthused: “Ang saya ko! Nagkauntog-untog ako sa pag-akyat-baba sa float.” She showed off three bruises incurred from the parade: one on her forehead, another one on her nose and a third wound on her elbow.

She was moved by the sight of elderly fans who gifted her with rosary beads. “Hindi pa rin sila nagbabago.”

But what thrilled her the most was hearing young Noranians chanting her name.
