Ritzy Star: Don’t talk to my child in Filipino

/ 09:26 PM November 15, 2011

Ritzy Star seems to have forgotten her roots as a struggling starlet. RS purportedly accompanied her Teenaged Child to the doc for a noninvasive cosmetic procedure. Clinic Employee made the mistake of chatting with TC. RS coldly chided CE, “Don’t talk to my child in Filipino.” TC studies in an expensive, exclusive school and understands only English, RS explained.

Drunk-dialing

Alcoholism seems to run in the family. Matinee Idol is notorious in the biz as a lousy drunk. He’s into drunk-dialing—calling up shocked exes whenever he’s under the influence.

A mole says MI inherited his addiction from his father. One time, studio insiders bumped into the dad early in the morning. He invited them to his house for drinks. Beer for breakfast?

FEATURED STORIES

Rehab sponsor

Scandalous Star has adamantly denied a reported steamy affair with Married Personality. Turns out, MP paid for SS’ latest trip to the hospital—specifically, the basement of a top medical center. Is she trying to quit dependence on illegal drugs by getting entangled in an illicit romance?

Aging playboy

Age doesn’t matter for Graying Playboy. Happily married, or so he says, GP continues to flirt with anyone in a skirt—preferably girls half his age. GP allegedly had a fling with a Flight Attendant recently. Seems GP’s wife is too busy with two jobs—in the entertainment and political arenas—to rein him in.

Immovable star

Controversial Star’s TV show is languishing in the ratings cellar. Production Staffer suggests a change of time slot. CS refuses to budge—with the stubborn intensity of an immovable object.

Apparently, CS has problems dealing with criticism and only believes the press releases churned out by people in her pocket. The TV network has no choice but to bankroll the faltering enterprise, as part of CS’ hefty contract.

Handyman

PITTSFIELD, Massachusetts—James Taylor is out to prove he can do more than write a catchy tune. The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter is taking up acting after more than four decades in the music industry. Taylor is to play Bob Cratchit next month in a Massachusetts’ theater group’s annual performance of “A Christmas Carol.”

Kate Maguire, artistic director of the Berkshire Theatre Group, says she had to coax the 63-year-old Taylor into taking the role. Taylor’s wife, Kim, is returning for her second year as Mrs. Cratchit. Their two sons are also in the production. AP

Top of the Talk Shows

Top of the talk shows: For those who missed last weekend’s TV gabfests (and why we are moved, if we are moved):

“Kokak” star Sarah Lahbati on being courted by Derick Monasterio: “Pinaka-focus ko lang ’yung work talaga. Ang tagal ko ring hinintay [itong break], kaya’t ngayong nandito na, dito lang ang atensyon ko.”

Daniel Matsunaga, asked if he has plans of marrying Heart Evangelista: “Yes … we have plans and we hope that everything works out … There are lots of things to do. It’s not simple to have a marriage … We’ve talked about it, but not so soon.” (Ano ba talaga?)

Sarah Geronimo on her new love team with Gerald Anderson: “Kapag off-cam, mas nakakapag-usap na kami. Nakakatingin na ako kapag kinakausap ko siya … Alam mo naman kasi ako, mahiyain talaga.” (Saka si mother…)

JM de Guzman on premarital sex: “Basta dapat informed ka kung ano ba ’yung love at kung ano ba ’yung sex … Dapat panindigan mo kung ano man ’yung gagawin mo.” (Is that a yes?)

Marian Rivera, asked if she feels awkward acting with Aljur Abrenica in “Amaya”: “Kasi minsan … kapag nagme-memorize ako … nakatitig lang siya … Nako-conscious ako sa tingin niya!” (Ayan na.)

Ogie Alcasid on hearing his son Nathaniel James’ first cry: “May tensyon, kaba … Tapos nung umiyak, ayun, tuwang-tuwa na ako nun!” (Feels like the first time?)

Yna Asistio, asked if she feels jealous watching boyfriend Mark Herras’ scenes with Kris Bernal: “Sa totoo lang hindi! Dati kasi kapag may show si Mark, ’di ako nanonood ’pag ayoko ’yung partner … Pero … kahit sino’ng partner niya okay lang.” (Uuuuy.)

Vice Ganda on his movie “Praybeyt Benjamin” becoming one of the highest-grossing films of all time: “May ibang magic ang Diyos. ’Di ko alam kung ano’ng binudbod niya diyan sa pelikulang ’yan … Pero lahat ’to na-plano na ng Diyos.” (Amen.)

Angel Locsin

Ai Ai de las Alas, asked if she’s looking for love: “Hindi ko na iniisip, kasi sa dami ng blessings ko, nahihiya na akong humingi pa kay Lord ng love. Okay na ’yung maraming taong nakapaligid sa ’kin na mahal ako.” (Noted!)

Angel Locsin, asked about her relationship with Phil Younghusband: “Relasyon? Hindi ko alam. Pero kami ay dalawang taong in love… ’Yung happiness na nararamdaman ko kapag kasama ko siya, eh ’di mapapantayan ng kahit anong title … Nakikita kong may future ako sa kanya.” (Somebody paraphrase this, quick!)
