Heard: The return of Sharon-Gabby

Megastar Sharon Cuneta talks about her reunion movie with ex-husband and former screen partner Gabby Concepcion, after almost 25 years: “I am excited for our fans, who have been waiting forever. I’m also nervous because it’s been ages since our last movie. I am praying a lot that all goes smoothly and for no drama and instead, fun on the set. I am thankful to Star Cinema. I’m just excited to get back to acting on the big screen!”

To be directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, the new movie is tentatively scheduled to open in May 2017. “Shooting begins January 2017,” Sharon said. The film will also feature a young love team. Sharon and Gabby’s last film together was Laurice Guillen’s “Tayong Dalawa” in 1992. —BAYANI SAN DIEGO JR.
