It was the Kapuso team’s turn to pump up glitz and glamour as GMA Artist Center (GMAAC) and Mega Publishing launched its latest collaboration, “Profiles,” on November 8.

GMA 7’s brightest stars trooped to Rizal Ballroom of Shangri-La Hotel in Makati in their finest duds. Before they could parade in the ballroom,
much like teeners at the prom, they were given last-minute instructions by stage director Freddie Santos on how to conduct themselves like real stars.

Santos, according to GMAAC head Ida Henares, “directed the flow of events, from the artists’ entrance to
the overall staging of the various performances.” Henares described the party as “absolutely spanking.”
Though it was a strictly formal affair, “it was also fun and warm,” she related.
Unlike in this year’s other star-studded ball, fisticuffs didn’t break out at this very Kapuso party.
