Marriage can sometimes be a mirage. It’s not everything that it’s cracked up to be. Been there, felt that.

Staying married in this age of temptation is tougher than a triathlon race. I wonder if mistresses and kept men are usually the causes of broken unions or the aftereffect of a marriage that’s long been dead?

Star Cinema’s “The Unmarried Wife” hits “couples bullseye.” The movie’s lead stars Angelica Panganiban, Paulo Avelino and Dingdong Dantes give us a feel of liaisons dangereuses Pinoy style.

FEATURED STORIES

Here’s my tête-à-tête with Angelica:

How was your definition of love changed after all the relationships you have been through? It changed nothing. Love is love.

What do you hate about love? I refuse to look at love with hatred in my heart. I don’t want to be a negative thinker when it comes to possibilities of new beginnings.

If you were married and you find out your husband has a mistress, how would you handle it? I won’t waste my time confronting the girl. Will talk it out with my hubby and keep things between us.

What was your birthday gift to yourself? Had my house fixed and renovated.

Please share any interesting behind-the-scene story. Dingdong is very passionate about his work. I appreciate his giving importance to his coactors. He gets better and better in every project I have with him. Paulo is very relaxed and laid-back. He’s a chill kind of guy.

When the time comes, what kind of wife would you be? My future family would be an interesting mix. Maybe because I’m a “weird” kind of person who has varied views. I will be the kind of wife who would want her family to have no dull moment when I’m around.

Would you take an ex back? It depends. You never can tell. If there’s a spark again, why not? It’s hard to say never and past is past. As much as possible I don’t want my relationship with them to end even if we are no longer a couple. Friends who have tampuhan can remain civil. What more with ex-lovers? I see nothing wrong with staying friends.

What was the worst rumor about you? Rumors don’t matter to me. At this point of my career, I’m immune to rumors already.

What was the cheesiest line a guy ever told you? When they tell me I’m pretty, I find it cheesy.

How would you like to be remembered? As a happy person to work with, crazy and makulit in a fun way, a friend who makes it seem you are drunk with joy even if you are just having coffee with her.

Big winner in NY
Congrats to my BFF Cesar Montano and the rest of the team of his movie “Nilalang,” which bagged five awards at the Urban Action Showcase in New York: Best Feature, Best Martial Arts Feature, Best SciFi/Supernatural Feature, Best Weapons Sequence, and Best Actor (for Buboy, Cesar’s nickname).

His reaction via Viber: “BFF, I’m so happy. I didnt expect that trophy. I was expecting cash (laughs).

“But seriously, all glory to God. My director in ‘Nilalang’ Pedring Lopez told me that we will discuss a new film when he comes home from New York. (end of text).”

With his numerous awards, Buboy ought to have a new room made to display all his trophies.
