Michael Massee, the veteran actor who accidentally pulled the trigger at co-star Brandon Lee in the set of their 1994 movie “The Crow,” has passed away. He was 61.
Details of his shocking death are unavailable as of this writing.
Massee, who played Funboy, accidentally fired an improperly examined pisto, killing Lee, 28, in one of their tapings in 1993. Lee, the only son of martial arts guru Bruce Lee, died while undergoing surgery. A “traumatized” Massee, who claimed he never watched the film, spent a year outside the spotlight in New York, Deadline reported.
He starred in 80 films and television appearances including “The Lost Highway” in 1997, “Catwoman” in 2004, “The Amazing Spider-Man” in 2012 and its sequel “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” in 2014, in which he portrayed Gustav Fiers.
Massee is survived by his wife, Ellen Massee, and their two children.
His previous co-stars, Angie Harmon and Anthony Delon, and TV director Jon Cassar tweeted their sympathies. Gianna Francesca Catolico
