Armi Millare

Armi Millare

In this throwback photo, Up Dharma Down lead vocalist Armi Millare is shown on Mount Santo Tomas in Benguet, recording “Tadhana” on her phone, back in 2010. The song is the theme of the GMA 7 TV series, “Ilumina,” and turned out to be one of the experimental rock band’s most popular songs.

“I was working on a deadline of three days to produce a song for a TV show. I got the call just before taking the bus to Baguio. As soon as I got down, I worked on the rest, sent it to the boys (bandmates), and they did their magical arrangement. The song wouldn’t be what it is now if not for them!” Armi related on her Facebook page. —ALLAN POLICARPIO
