The new action-packed trailer for “Power Rangers” will certainly let ’90s kids out there feel “all grown-up.”
The 2-minute-30-second trailer released on Sunday features Jason Lee Scott (Dacre Montgomery), a troubled teen who attends a school where he meets Kimberly Hart (Naomi Scott), Billy Cranston (RJ Cyler), Trini Kwan (Becky G), and Zack Taylor (Ludi Lin), who were severely bullied by school villains. Soon, the five adventurous teens deliberately unravel their inner powers after they discover button-like objects.
With their unanimous strength and jumping abilities, they fend off their school bullies and prepare for a bigger “homework”—to save the world from villains like Rita Repulsa, played by Elizabeth Banks. “Breaking Bad” actor Bryan Cranston will play the role of Zordon, while Bill Hader will portray the robot Alpha 5.

One of the most rousing scenes was when Yellow Ranger, played by singer Becky G, comes face to face with Repulsa in a fearless encounter.
The film is based on the 1993 series “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers,” which pioneered two blockbuster spin-offs in 1995 and 2010. Last month, “Power Rangers” also released solo movie posters of the five heroes.
“Power Rangers” was directed by Dean Israelite and will stream in theaters on March 24, 2017. Gianna Francesca Catolico
