Japanese voice actor Kazunari Tanaka passes away at 49

The world of seiyus (voice actors) is mourning as another from their ranks has fallen due to illness. Voice actor Kazunari Tanaka recently passed away at the age of 49.

The news was disclosed by Tanaka’s talent agency, Aoni Production, through its website Tuesday and it stated that Tanaka had passed away due to a brain stem hemorrhage, reports Anime News Network.

Tanaka had worked on various anime series such as “Haikyuu!!,” “Planetes,” “Marmalade Boy,” “Hell Teacher Nube,” “Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion,” “Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny” and “Soul Hunter.”

He has also done voice work on the recently released “Persona 5″ game as Junya Kaneshiro and in “Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle” as Tamami Kobayashi. Alfred Bayle
