JOSEPH Marco

When we miss someone that we used to love, we tend to  fall for someone we love to use. In other words, we are on rebound mode. We cling to “filler guys/girls” we don’t feel anything for.

Regal Films’ charming rom-com, “My Rebound Girl,” explores the heart’s topsy-turvy journey from one stage of love to another. It is topbilled by Alex Gonzaga and Joseph Marco. They almost became a couple many heartbeats ago, but Cupid had other plans back then. This time around, could their hearts be ready to bounce back?

FEATURED STORIES
What’s the best love advice that you follow?

It is better to give than to receive.

If you were to pursue Alex, how would you woo her?

I would do it the old-fashioned way. I will ask her parents’ permission before I court her.

How has your friendship evolved since your plan to court her got thwarted?

Our friendship wasn’t affected at all. In fact, we grew closer and we share personal stuff.

How would you handle learning that you’re being used as a “rebound guy?”

I’ll stay in the relationship and prove to her that my love is genuine. I will leave it up to her to decide whether to stay or leave.

What turns you on and what turns you off in a girl?

Intelligent and career-driven women turn me on. Dependent, clingy women turn me off.

What relationship is harder to save—when it’s the guy or the girl who wants out?

It would be more difficult to save when the girl wants out because she’s either already fed up or there’s another guy pursuing her who’s willing to give her a better relationship.

What are your dos and don’ts in a relationship?

Dos: Must be there for me when I need her; make time for herself and her family; be honest at all times, even if it will put our relationship on the line.

Don’ts: Never let her world revolve around me; don’t be negative and insecure.

What will keep you from straying when you are in a relationship?

Love will make me stay put. I never want to hurt the one I love.
