HANKS. Cast as a real-life hero in “Sully.”

Tom Hanks is such a popular draw that he gets first crack at the best film roles, so he has to pass on some of them. But, the title role in his latest starrer, “Sully,” was too good to turn down, so he made time for the production.

In “Sully,” Hanks and the real-life hero he plays, Capt. Chesley Sullenberger, are perfectly matched. Sullenberger is the great pilot who was able to safely land his distressed plane on the Hudson River, saving all 155 lives onboard.

Creating Pete’s dragon

Because dragons are often depicted in movies as vicious, scaly and unapproachable, the personality of Elliott in Disney’s “Pete’s Dragon” is a radical but very welcome departure from the off-putting norm.

‘Sausage Party’ breaks all rules

Most animated features are meant for a child or family audience, but “Sausage Party” breaks all rules and proves that animation can also click with adult audiences—provided it’s really funny.

The racy comedy film is about a sausage, Frank, that’s in love with a bun named Brenda—but is much more than a one-joke comedy. It has real heart, vivid characters and a super funny layer for grownups!
