Accessible healthcare
The Ayala Corp. stands by its commitment to improve the lives of Filipinos and attend to their most pressing needs. Through its Ayala Healthcare Holdings Inc. subsidiary, the group aims to provide accessible and affordable healthcare.
Ayala Health began its foray into health service with Generika Drugstore, a nationwide chain of pharmacies established in 2003. It then ventured into the FamilyDOC, a new chain of community-based primary care clinics.
Together with the Mercado General Hospital, it operates Qualimed, a chain of multispecialty clinics; ambulatory surgical centers and three full-service hospitals, including one in San Jose del Monte. Qualimed’s vision is to build 10 clinics and 10 hospitals by 2020.
According to Dr. Michael Santos, the group seeks to become more relevant to Filipino patients at different stages of health.
Ayala Health CEO Paolo Borromeo reiterates, “We feel strongly about the need to provide affordable medicine to Filipinos.”
