Netflix to release ‘Stranger Things’ season 2 in 2017

It’s official–the second season of Netflix’s “Stranger Things” is coming in 2017.

According to cinema news site Variety, the smash-hit show, which is set in the ’80s, will debut its second season next year with 9 episodes with titles “Madmax,” “The Boy Who Came Back to Life,” “The Pumpkin Patch,” “The Palace,” “The Storm,” “The Pollywog,” “The Secret Cabin,” “The Brain,” and “The Lost Brother.”

Once again, Matt and Ross Duffer will return as writers for the “Stranger Things” second season. Shawn Levy, Dan Cohen, and 21 Laps Entertainment is set to produce the show.

Several stars share their glee in the show’s season two launch. Millie Bobby Brown, who plays the role of the “Eleven,” a child with psychokinetic gifts, shared an Instagram post with the caption, “Stranger Things Season 2 has been confirmed. Coming in 2017!”

On the other hand, Shannon Purser, who portrays “Barb,” tweeted that she will return next year, igniting rumors that her character survived an attack by a Demogorgon. Gaten Matarazzo, who plays “Dustin” in the show, also shared his joy on social media. Gianna Francesca Catolico/CDG
