Big Bang teams up with UNICEF for donation project

K-pop band Big Bang will be partnering with UNICEF for a project called “UNICEF’s celebratory donation,” according to YG Entertainment.

It is hoped that Big Bang will help to raise awareness and money for the project which aims to encourage people to celebrate their special days with a donation.

“There are many celebration days for Big Bang in August, including member G-Dragon’s birthday on Aug.18, the 10th anniversary day on Aug.19, and celebratory concert on Aug. 20. The members wanted to share such celebrations with fans in a special way,” the agency said.

The band members also created a video clip for the project, sharing their thoughts on the first day of their debut 10 years ago, the day of their first music award, and the day of their first concert, as well as expressing gratitude toward fans.

The agency explained that the project also “reflects Big Bang members’ will to repay fans’ constant love.”

“Big Bang has been doing various donation activities on its celebration days, the project with UNICEF will also become one of its most memorable and warming events,” the agency said.

Meanwhile, Big Bang will be holding its 10th anniversary celebratory concert, “0.TO.10” on Saturday, at Worldcup Stadium, Sangam-dong, Seoul.
