DJ Karen Bordador didn’t show signs of drug ties at work—RX 93.1

FM radio station RX 93.1 said it was “shocked” by the arrest of one of its DJ, Karen Bordador, over alleged involvement in illegal drug trade.

In a statement posted on its social media accounts, the station said Bordador did not show signs of drug involvement in the workplace.

“RX 93.1 is shocked by the recent events concerning our DJ, Karen Bordador, who was implicated in a drug-related arrest.  Karen showed no indication in the workplace of any involvement with prohibited substances,” the statement read.

“Police authorities have filed charges against Ms. Bordador, and we trust that the ongoing investigation will bring out the truth,” it added.

Bordador and her boyfriend Emilio Lim, an alleged supplier of “party drugs in upscale clubs in the metro, were arrested in a buy-bust operation at a condo unit in Pasig City last week.

Arresting officers said it was Bordador who took from a suitcase ecstasy pills which she gave to Lim in a transaction with an undercover policemen.

RX 93.1 said it was not condoning drug use by any of its staff and condemned the use of illegal substances.
