Karen Bordador’s ex-BF mistaken as Lim clarifies: I’m not a drug dealer

The ex-boyfriend of radio DJ Karen Bordador decried misinformation spread by some news websites mistakenly identifying him as Emilio Lim, Bordador’s current partner who was arrested in a buy bust operation last Saturday.
Chris Tan, a businessman, said he wants to clarify news items going viral on social media tagging him as a drug dealer.
Police arrested Bordador and Lim after they were caught in possession P3 million worth of ecstasy and marijuana at a condominium unit in Pasig City.

An informant told the police that Lim was known to be a big supplier of drugs at upscale clubs in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig and Makati City.
“There were several pseudo news sites that decided to name me and assume that I was a drug dealer,” Tan told INQUIRER.net over the phone.
“It’s pretty bad because it’s a matter of drug dealing and right now with the extrajudicial killings happening, I’m scared that somebody might claim I’m the drug dealer, you know the lynch mob mentality, mamaya I might be walking and then suddenly people might mob me and do something to me,” he said.
He said he plans to file a case against the moderators of the news sites, which had erroneously published his photo identifying him as Emilio Lim. The news articles from both sites had been taken down as of posting.
“I’m a very private person. It’s very frustrating I’m getting dragged into this,” he added.
Tan, 47, said he and Bordador called it quits some time January 2015. Tan said he only spoke with his ex-girlfriend “once or twice after the break up to clarify some things.”
Tan also denied having met Lim in person.
“Personally, I’ve never met Emilio although I know he started dating Karen 3 to 4 months after we broke up,” he added.
