High-flying gay star a doting benefactor to struggling athletes
In an act of sweet “charity,” High-Flying Gay helped an entire team of struggling athletes in their bid to win in a tournament held out of town.
HG paid for the hunky sportsmen’s plane fares and hotel accommodations. A mole says HG is smitten with one of them.
Who knew HG was one mean athletic supporter? Oops—sponsor pala.
Boss from hell
Controversial Personality is furious with Scandalous Celebrity. CP’s sibling once worked for SC.
Apparently, SC was a “horrible” boss. After CP’s sibling left SC’s wing, the cat was let out of the bag—through a social networking site. CP complained that SC was “arrogant and difficult”—a boss from hell.

During a recent concert in a conservative country, Sexy Comedienne allegedly failed to connect with the uptight audience.
According to a witness, SC’s jokes were too rowdy; and her stage manners, way too bawdy.
Worse, SC tried to make her comedy routine “interactive.” She went too far by being her usual flirtatious self with the men in the audience.
The concert promoters were so incensed, they asked SC to leave the stage, pronto.
Sin of commission
Did Giddy Star have anything to do with the lucrative offer made by Home Studio to Ex-Flame?
Was GS the “bridge” between HS and EF? Is that
why EF’s Current Partner acted up?
A source asks: Would GS get a commission or finder’s fee should EF take HS’ mind-boggling bait?
No wonder CP is feeling antsy, worried that GS and EF would reconnect, should the rumored move push through?
Trouble at home
Perhaps it’s true that there’s trouble brewing in the marriage of Popular Personality and his Cosmetically Enhanced Wife.
PP is allegedly weeping buckets to convince CW to forgive him after siring (according to the rumor mill) not just one but three kids out of wedlock.
CW seems unperturbed and flew to Singapore with Gay Shopper in tow. Did she raid the Hermes, Prada and Chanel stores at Marina Bay Sands?
This woman doesn’t stoop—she spends to conquer.
Oscar pressure
NEW YORK—With four months to go until the Academy Awards, Eddie Murphy is feeling the pressure about hosting the ceremony.
At the premiere of his new comedy film, “Tower Heist,” he said he’s “excited” but “hoping not to drop the ball.”
The film’s director, Brett Ratner, is also producing the Academy Awards.
On the comic’s to-do list between now and show time at the Oscars is to watch some movies. “What’s the front-runner? Who knows?” he asked on the red carpet.
The 84th Annual Academy Awards will be held Feb. 26, 2012. AP
Not cancer
LOS ANGELES—British singer Adele has dismissed rampant speculation in the media that she has throat cancer following the cancelation of her remaining tour dates and promotional appearances in 2011 due to surgery.
“Adele is to undergo surgery for a hemorrhaged vocal chord. All reports regarding any other condition are 100-percent false,” Adele’s spokesperson said in a statement.
The speculation arose after the Grammy-winning singer announced late last week she was pulling out of performances in the United States and the United Kingdom.
Adele also topped the American Music Award nominations in October with four nods, beating stiff competition from fellow female artists Lady Gaga and Katy Perry. The AMA will be held on Nov. 20 in Los Angeles. Reuters
Philbin leaving
NEW YORK—Departing morning TV host’s Regis Philbin’s chair on “Live!” won’t have time to cool off before Jerry Seinfeld arrives as the first guest host of the post-Regis era.
The popular weekday talk show is announcing that Seinfeld will join continuing cohost Kelly Ripa for three days, airing Nov. 21-23.
Guests set to join Ripa and Seinfeld are actor Jason Segal, actress Kim Cattrall, comedian-host Howie Mandel, “Naked Chef” Jamie Oliver and that fabulous Muppet, Miss Piggy.
Philbin is departing the show (soon to be renamed “Live! with Kelly”) on Nov. 18 after 28 years as host. There are no plans to immediately announce a successor. AP
