Concert tribute for Whitney Houston

“The Greatest Love of All: The Whitney Houston Show,” the touring tribute concert for the the late pop superstar that features South African vocalist Belinda Davis, will make two stops in the Philippines: the IEC Pavilion in Cebu City on Aug. 26 and the PICC Plenary Hall in Pasay City on Aug. 27 (call 470-222 or 891-9999).

The setlist for the two-and-a-half-hour concert includes some of the most enduring hits Houston had popularized over her illustrious music career that spanned over 30 years, like “I Will Always Love You,” “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” and “Didn’t We Almost Have It All.”

Davis hopes that the show would remind people of Houston’s halcyon days. “I want people to remember Whitney when she was at the top of her game and when she was fabulous,” said the singer, who idolized the iconic diva growing up. Allan Policarpio
