Will Korean director Hong show up with lover Kim at film fest?

Korean media are on the alert as to whether director Hong Sang-soo and actress Kim Min-hee will attend Marsaille’s International Film Festival together. It is held every year in the French region.

Hong and Kim’s yearlong extramarital affair was first revealed in June. The pair left Korea soon after the news broke, and they have made no public statement about their relationship.

There are rumors that Hong and Kim are living together in Utah.

Hong has been invited to the festival’s “Hong Sang Soo Retrospective,” which will begin on July 12 in France. Seventeen of Song’s films, including “Hahaha” (2009),“Oki’s Movie” (2010) and “Our Sunhi”(2013), will be aired from July 12 to 18 at the event.

Hong and Kim met when Kim starred in “Right Now, Wrong Then” (2015), a movie that Hong directed.

Kim Min-hee has recently gained wide recognition through her role as Hideko in director Park Chan-wook’s “The Handmaiden” (2016).
