The long wait is over for die-hard fans of Hajime Isayama’s trendy manga series “Attack on Titan.” The series’ second season is set to premiere in Japan in spring next year.
The talented voice cast of “Attack on Titan” unveiled the thrilling news during theShingeki Matsuri event at the Tokyo International Festival on Sunday, according to tech news site Gizmodo and anime site Anime News Network.

Isayama’s manga became a hit and made its way to the Japanese big screen in 2014. The show’s second season, which was announced in the same year, was supposed to have its release this year.

Masashi Koizuka will direct the show’s second season while Tetsuro Araki, the first season’s director, will join the crew as a chief director. Yuuki Kaji will voice Survey Corps member and protagonist Eren Yeager, while Yu Ishikawa will voice Eren’s adoptive sister Mikasa Ackerman, and Marina Inoue will voice Armin Arlert, their childhood friend.
A poster was released to celebrate the continuance of the show, featuring Eren in his Titan form. The second season will focus on the Reiss noble family and introduce several characters such as Captain Kenny Ackerman and the Beast Titan.
