Gabby Concepcion has nothing but gratitude as he and his ex-wife, Megastar Sharon Cuneta, “got closer again” and “understood each other better” after their reunion through their “Dear Heart” concert tour.
The actor spoke about their renewed friendship while showing moments from one of their shows through his Instagram page on Monday, Nov. 25.
“Don’t worry, nand’yan lang ako (I will be here). After all of these, ‘yung mga shows nating ginawa (the shows we had), I think we’ve become closer to each other,” Gabby told Cuneta, who then admitted that she would miss singing with the actor.
Gabby also wiped Cuneta’s tears as she turned emotional, and then the two of them shared a hug.
In the caption, Gabby wrote, “Nagpapasalamat ako sa mga fans namin sa mga tao na hindi bumibitaw at naging possible yung concert tour na ito.”
(I am grateful to all our fans and to the people who have supported us and made this concert tour possible.)
“That we got closer again, understood each other better; made us both a better person,” he continued, referring to him and Cuneta.
Talking about their emotional moment on stage, he added, “I felt something building up from within but she manifested it first. I realized at that very moment, these were ‘tears of joy.'”
Gabby and Cuneta are set to stage another show in Canada, which will be the last show in their US and Canada concert tour.
The love team of Cuneta and Gabby, dubbed as “ShaGab,” began after they starred in the 1981 film “Dear Heart.” Three years after the movie was released, Cuneta and Gabby got married, then welcomed their daughter KC Concepcion a year later.
The former couple had their marriage annulled in 1987.
