WATCH: Selena Gomez plugs upcoming PH concert, greets Pinoy fans

American pop star Selena Gomez is coming to town with her Revival Tour at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on July 31.

In a video posted on Wilbros Live’s Facebook page on Sunday, the 23-year-old Texas native gave a 30-second message to her Filipino fans and “Selenatics.”

“Hello, Philippines! It’s Selena Gomez and I’m finally coming to Manila,” she greeted her fans.

“It’s my biggest tour yet, so I’m looking forward to seeing all of you guys,” she concluded.

Before Gomez’s Manila gig next month, she is expected to meet her fans in Quebec (Canada), Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Thailand. From Manila, she will head for Tokyo, Melbourne and several cities in the UK and Mexico.

Gomez transitioned into an actress with her breakthrough roles in the Harmony Korine-directed “Spring Breakers,” which was applauded at the 69th Venice International Film Festival in 2012. She also appeared in the Academy Award-nominated “The Big Short” and starred alongside comedian Paul Rudd in “Fundamentals of Caring,” a Netflix drama film released this year.

Gomez has sold over 45 million albums worldwide and is on a world tour to promote her newest album, “Revival.” The first two singles of the album, “Good For You” and “Same Old Love” topped the US Top 40 charts while “Hands to Myself,” the album’s third track, is now on the Top 10 global hits.
