THE ULTIMATE kitchen battle returns to Lifetime when Season 8 of “Masterchef Australia” starts telecasting on Monday, July 4, at 8 p.m.

In addition, the wildlife thriller, “200,” unveils its second season on July 6 at 10 p.m. And the fourth season of “The Block” reels off July 25, with eight couples competing in the TV tilt’s home renovation game.

Of special interest to youths and their parents is the start of the second season of “Child Genius” at 10 p.m. on Aug. 4. It showcases the US’s most gifted children in an impressive and inspiring battle of the brains.

On Lifetime’s “UnREAL,” about a dating game competition on TV, star Shiri Appleby is wearing an additional hat this season by directing an episode, aside from just starring in it.

‘The Young Messiah’

Acclaimed filmmaker Chris Columbus (“Home Alone,” “Mrs. Doubtfire”) has produced the spiritual film, “The Young Messiah,” directed by Cyrus Nowrasteh.

The inspiring production opens on June 29 and insightfully imagines the seventh year in the life of the young Jesus Christ, played by Adam Greaves-Neal.
