Kristofer King, short film win in NY fest
Filipino actor Kristofer King won a Gold Award for best actor for the short film, “Balitok,” at the NYC Indie Film Awards 2016, based in New York City.
“Balitok” also brought home the Bronze Award for best screenplay for Dexter Macaraeg, who also directed the film.

Macaraeg told the Inquirer that the NYC Indie Film Awards is a monthly online competition. “Balitok” and King were among the winners for the month of April.
According to its website, the fest seeks to be “a platform for independent filmmakers from all over the world to show their talents.” Bayani San Diego Jr.
