LOOK: Jaclyn Jose overwhelmed with best actress win at Cannes

Veteran Filipino actress Jaclyn Jose was visibly overwhelmed upon learning that she had won best actress at the recently concluded Cannes Film Festival as seen in photos and videos now going viral on social media.

Jose, who played one of the lead characters in Brillante Mendoza’s “Ma’ Rosa,” could be seen closing her eyes, as if in surprise or disbelief, before standing up to embrace the filmmaker.

In a video shared via Twitter, both seemed very emotional before they walked to the stage, together with Jose’s daughter and co-star Andi Eigenmann.

Another video posted on Youtube showed her giving speech while catching her breath.

“I don’t know what to say. I am so surprised,” the actress said.
