WATCH: Wentworth Miller resurrects in ‘Prison Break’ Season 5 trailer

Michael Scofield was alive but was back behind bars in the first reboot trailer of American TV series “Prison Break.” Scofield, played by American actor Wentworth Miller, was believed to have perished during the show’s fourth season finale in 2009.

The thrilling trailer by Fox debuted when Scofield’s son, also named Michael, asked his mother Sara (Sarah Wayne Callies) about his “real father,” to which Sara replied, “‘He was like a storm appearing suddenly out of a clear blue sky, and then disappeared just as quickly.”

However, the curious little Michael answered back, “But storms can come back, can’t they?”

Scenes from the trailer depicted that the structural engineer was incarcerated in Morocco.

Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell), Scofield’s brother, found out from a former inmate that his brother was alive and kicking, and the fate of Scofield lay in his hands.

“If you’re playing me, I’ll kill you,” he replied. Sara was astonished to see the photo of her husband and she told Burrows, “I know you want it to be true—I want it to be true.”

Without hesitation, Lincoln traveled to the North African Kingdom to come face-to-face with his brother. The two brothers devised a blueprint for Scofield to escape prison and peacefully return to his family.

“We’re gonna disappear from this place like ghosts,” Michael said.
