Actress Anne Curtis joined thousands of Filipinos on Wednesday in riding the Metro Rail Transit (MRT) amid traffic along Edsa.
Curtis posted on her Facebook page a photo of her inside an MRT coach, holding a handrail and posing for the camera with her fellow passengers. Two other people are shown raising their phones to take a selfie with the actress.
“Beating the traffic. Sabi nila swerte daw ako kasi hindi pa daw masyado siksikan. Ang bilis! Lapit na ako sa bahay (They said I’m lucky that the MRT coach is not jam-packed. It is so fast. I’m near our house)!” Curtis said in the caption.
In less than 30 minutes, her post has received 57,000 likes and more than 350 shares.
Many of her followers commented and expressed their admiration for the television host, which they described as beautiful and down-to-earth.
The last time Curtis rode the MRT was to promote her show on the cable channel LifeTime Asia.
Despite constantly suffering technical glitches and other problems, the MRT is still the preferred mode of transportation by Filipinos who want to escape Metro Manila traffic. KS/RAM
