TV megmen should learn to pace themselves
JENNY PASION: “Artists in film and television stand to gain if they heed the warning of Quark Henares and Aiza Seguerra, among others, about the increasing incidence of health-related problems due to the industry’s difficult working conditions. I know how passionate TV-film artists are, but the country might run out of good directors if they don’t learn to pace themselves.”
Other notes:
Phillippe Salvador Palmos, theater/film actor: “‘Destiny Rose’ started really strong. Lately, however, it has spiraled downward into the usual teleserye formula. Lead star Ken Chan’s performance, initially noteworthy for being brave and sensitive, has since gone over the top. What happened?”
More objective
Bernadette Jacala, banker: “Now that it’s election season again, I wish that media people would be more objective in their reporting and more readily prepared to do on-the-spot coverages and interviews. Enough of shoddy, irresponsible reporting—our country’s future is at stake!”
