Richard Marx coming to Manila

American singer-songwriter Richard Marx will hold a one-night show, mounted by Midas Promotions, on March 12 at the Kia Theatre, as part of his ongoing series of shows, titled “The Solo Tour.” (Call 9115555.)

The pop-rock music artist, whose career spans three decades, is behind the hit songs “Now and Forever” and “Right Here Waiting.” He has released 11 studio records, which have collectively sold over 30 million copies. He likewise holds the record for being the only male artist to have his first seven singles reach Billboard Hot 100 chart’s top five.

Marx, who cowrote with Luther Vandross the Grammy award-wining ballad, “Dance with My Father,” is currently promoting his latest album, “Beautiful Goodbye,” which he described as “more sensual and ethereal”—a departure from his usual romantic sound. Allan Policarpio
