“The Revenant” star Leonardo DiCaprio finally wins an Oscar.
DiCaprio bagged the Best Actor award in Sunday’s 88th Academy Awards at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California.
He bested Bryan Cranston, Matt Damon, Michael Fassbender, and Eddie Redmayne for the award.
The 41-year-old actor earlier reaped the Best Actor award for his performance in “The Revenant” in the Golden Globe Awards, Screen Actors Guild Awards and the British Academy Film Awards.
DiCaprio was previously nominated for five times for an Oscar in four films: “What’s Eating Gilbert Grape,” “The Aviator,” “Blood Diamond,” and “The Wolf of Wall Street.”
Before DiCaprio’s win, “The Revenant” won Best Cinematography and Best Director for Alejandro Inarritu. AJH
