Stars’ scions also rise

/ 12:20 AM February 20, 2016

IT ALL began way back when, the show biz, “tradition” of stars’ scions following in their famous and beautiful parents’ performing footsteps. As early as the dawn of cinema, the Barrymores got it going started, from Lionel to John to John Jr. to Drew! Also very famously, Judy Garland’s daughter, Liza Minnelli, became a big star in her own right.

More recently, Tom Hanks’ son and lookalike, Colin, has topbilled films and launched his own stellar career. Vanessa Redgrave’s “children” have similarly made names for themselves as exceptional thespians.

Incidentally, not as well-known is the fact that Clint’s other son, Kyle, has found his own career path, as a jazz band musician. And that his daughter, Francesca, is an actress and environmentalist, whose own movie vehicles include “Final Girl,” “Wuthering High School,” and “Kids vs. Monsters.”

Demi Moore and Bruce Willis’ daughter, Rumer Willis, has also become a star in her own right, as has actor Alan Thicke’s scion, Robin, who’s opted to make it (very successfully) as a singing star. Comedy star Goldie Hawn is just as proud of her daughter Kate Hudson, who’s been playing lead roles in films for over a decade now, with standout stellar vehicles like “Almost Famous,” “Nine,” “Alex & Emma” and “Wish I Was Here” for acclaimed showcases of her own antic gift.

Other stars with famous luminaries in their family tree include Gwyneth Paltrow and Patrick Schwarzenegger. Paltrow’s parents are famous actress Blythe Danner and director Bruce Paltrow.

As for Patrick, his action superstar dad, Arnold, is still topbilling movies up to this day.

On his own speed and moxie, Patrick, who’s still in his early 20s, has already topbilled films like “Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse,” “Stuck in Love” and “Grown Ups 2.” Interestingly, his older sister, Katherine, has opted to make it as an author, with popular publications like “Rock What You’ve Got” and “I Just Graduated—Now What?”
