INTERNATIONAL rapper Kanye West is set to perform at the Parade International Music Festival (Parade IMF) in Manila in 2016.
Kanye West, who will be in the Philippines for the first time, will perform at the Aseana Open Grounds in Paranaque City on April 9, 2016.
The international rapper will join international and local bands that are set to perform in the event.
“We are very much getting ready to make this music festival the biggest yet – it is time to put the Philippines on the map as an international music destination,” Boardworks Media Entertainment co-owner Joshua Ylaya said in a statement.
Ylaya said the music festival would bring music fans from all over the globe.
“West is well-known for his relentlessness and game-changing feats within the music industry and beyond. In the same fashion, we are here to change the face of the industry in the country. The world of music in the Philippines has greatly changed over the last decade and our dream is that we become known as an international destination for music festivals. The fate of our industry is just waiting to be “discovered” by the world and will be one to watch.” Ylaya added.
