In the action-horror flick, Cesar Montano plays Tony Cuevas, an NBI officer tasked to track down the mysterious perpetrator behind a string of mutilative acts taking place in the city. As he and fellow agent Jane (Meg) discover more leads, they suspect that they’re up against something supernatural. Tony then seeks the help of Miyuki (Maria), a daughter of an elder Yakuza member.

Cesar, who had to learn some Japanese for the movie, said he’s looking forward to doing more actioners soon. “I enjoyed working on this project; it was a new challenge for me,” related the 53-year-old actor, adding that he hopes that “Nilalang” gets showcased in festivals abroad. Allan Policarpio
