Denise Laurel is ‘Your Face Sounds Familiar’ season 2 grand winner

Denise Laurel was crowned as the grand winner of the second season of ABS-CBN’s singing and impersonation show “Your Face Sounds Familiar” on Sunday night at the Newport Performing Arts Theater of Resorts World Manila in Pasay City.

Denise emerged champion after getting the highest number of text votes, besting other finalists, namely Kean Cipriano, Denisse Laurel, Michael Pangilinan, and KZ Tandingan.

During the performance night on Saturday, the finalists impersonated international singers such as Maroon 5 vocalist and “The Voice US” coach Adam Levine, Canadian pop superstar Justin Bieber, American singer-songwriter Lady Gaga, and Puerto Rican singer-actor Ricky Martin.

Other celebrities who were part of the show were comedian Eric Nicolas, comedienne Kakai Bautista, and cosplayer Myrtle Sarrosa.

Actress-comedienne Melai Cantiveros was the grand champion of the inaugural season of “Your Face Sounds Familiar.” The panel of judges was composed of Gary Valenciano, Sharon Cuneta, and Jed Madela.

The competition features local celebrities who undergo transformation to impersonate iconic singers. The Philippine franchise of the show started airing last March 14. YG
