The 20th Century Fox has released the first full trailer of the latest installment of the “X-Men” franchise, giving fans a glimpse of the powerful mutant villain “Apocalypse” and his bid to destroy the earth.
In “X-Men: Apocalypse,” the world’s first mutant played by Oscar Isaac was reawakened from his tomb and sought the help of four of his henchmen—Magneto (Michael Fassbender), Psylocke (Olivia Munn), Angel (Ben Hardy), and Storm (Alexandra Shipp).
The task of saving mankind lies on the hand of Mystiqe played by Jennifer Lawrence and Professor X (James McAvoy), who recruited a team of young mutants including Cyclops (Tye Sheridan), Jean Grey (Sophie Turner), Jubilee (Lana Condor), and Nightcrawler (Kodi Smitt-McPhee).
Directed by Bryan Singer, “X-Men: Apocalypse” is slated for a May 27, 2016 release. YG/IDL
