What do stars look for in a presidential candidate?

Mark Herras and Kylie Padilla weigh in on the qualities they think a presidential candidate should have:

Mark: I know how important it is to vote wisely for a public official, because he has to make informed decisions that will affect a lot of people. Dapat, may alam siya, kasi nakasalalay sa kanya ang kapakanan ng buong bansa. —There are things you can’t leave to chance or good will!

Hindi maaaring pananaw mo lang sa buhay ang gagabay sa ‘yo, because people rely on you to protect them and prioritize their needs.

In public service, image doesn’t amount to much. —So, politics isn’t part of my plans.

Kylie: If I were to vote now, I’d choose an honest leader whose heart is in the right place—he should serve the people, not his own interests.

As much as possible, people from show biz should steer clear of politics, because of the strong influence we have on the public. Politics and public service require experience and knowledge—it isn’t make-believe!

For our country’s sake, we should vote for those who have the ability to change things for the better!
