PH hosts 2015 Mister International competition

The country may be experiencing the strongest dry spell in history, but the heat generated by the El Niño phenomenon is no match for the “hotness” of some of the most gorgeous hunks in the world.
Manila, host of the 2015 Mister International pageant, presented contestants from more than 30 countries to members of local media at the Sulo Riviera Hotel in Quezon City on Nov. 19. The global tilt is holding its 10th edition this year.
Hot cop Neil Perez, the country’s first Mister International winner, will relinquish his title to his successor, who will be chosen from the tilt’s 37 contestants.
“It’s a little sad that my reign is about to end. But I am thankful to the Mister International Organization because of its support,” Perez said. “I hope to become an example to the candidates,” added Perez, who is still working in the police force and is seen in GMA 7’s daytime series, “Princess in the Palace.”
Reniel Villareal, the country’s bet, is poised to secure a back-to-back win for the Philippines. “I will do my best to make the country proud,” he vowed, adding that he has been training long and hard for the international stage.
Another candidate who is feeling extra pressure is Fernando Alvarez of Puerto Rico. This year alone, his compatriots won in the Mister Model International, Mister Universal Ambassador and Mister Tourism International contests.
Tomazini of Brazil
Aside from Villareal, the other crowd favorites are Chris Nayna of Australia, Anderson Tomazini of Brazil, Andrea Luceri of Italy and Daniel Barreres of Spain.
The 2015 Mister International finals night will take place at the Newport Performing Arts Theater of Resorts World Manila on Nov. 30. The Inquirer is a media partner of the competition.
