Keeping up with Gabby Concepcion

CONCEPCION has nothing to complain about.

CONCEPCION has nothing to complain about.

GABBY Concepcion is a special part of my high school memories. My boyfriend back then was William Martinez. They were the hottest matinee idols at that time. William surprised me by bringing Gabs along to my class party. To say that it caused pandemonium would be an understatement. To this day, Gabs has not lost his charisma. There still is a commotion when he is around. He is all set to enchant us again in GMA 7’s light-hearted romantic series “Because of You” (premieres Nov. 30 on GMA Telebabad), along with Rafael Rosell and Carla Abellana. As a Kapuso, Gabs will all the more set hearts aflutter.

What made you accept the offer of GMA 7?

It’s a little different from my usual roles in the past. There’s a twist. It’s a low-impact drama-comedy and it’s not a stressful story. I like the flow of the script. It’s quite an easy and simple story.

What excites you about your new show?

I had a warm welcome. It felt good…first time working with GMA 7 and first time to work with most of the production team.

If you and your ex-wife Sharon Cuneta were to star in a film, what would the title be?

“I Don’t Know.”

What’s your reaction to the news that Piolo Pascual has made peace with Sharon and KC?

That’s a good thing. I wish the world was like this. Make peace not war.

Did you and Piolo talk things over too? Were you ever at odds with him?

I was never involved and I was never at odds with him.

What’s the best part of being Gabby Concepcion?

Not only do I have sweet and thoughtful daughters, I also have sweet and thoughtful supporters.

What is the hardest part of being you?

I have nothing to complain about. I have everything to be thankful for.
