Robin, Mariel remain hopeful after loss
After suffering miscarriages twice in a year, host and actress Mariel Rodriguez still remembers the pain of losing a baby whenever she sees children, her husband Robin Padilla said.
“What happened to us will never be okay. Lalo na sa gabi, naalala niya ‘yung lungkot. Kapag nakakakita siya ng bata, doon siya tinatamaan,” Padilla told INQUIRER.net.
(Particularly at nights, she would remember the sorrow. Whenever she sees children, that’s when the pain would hit her again.)
But the Padilla said he and his wife of five years will keep trying to conceive after they lost a triplet pregnancy.

The action film star said he is happy that Rodriguez’s friends are helping her cope with sadness.
“Natutuwa naman ako kasi yung mga kaibigan niya sa [ABS CBN] parang nagkaroon sila ng samahan para pasayahin siya. Lahat ng kaibigan niya dumamay,” he said.
(I am glad that her friends in ABS CBN came together to cheer her up. All her friends were there to console her.)
Recently, Rodriguez appeared in shows “Deal or No Deal” and “Pinoy Big Brother” which she hosted for years before moving to TV5.
Padilla on Friday went to Camp Crame to hand his high-powered firearms, whose licenses would be expiring next month, to the Firearms and Explosives Office for safekeeping.
In an Instagram post, Rodriguez lauded her husband’s move, saying it takes a real man to give up his gun collections.
