Good things come to those who wait.

A week after their first date was cut short, Alden Richards and Maine “Yaya Dub” Mendoza treated their millions of fans once again to a very special day as they met for their second Saturdate that took place in the de Explorers’ grand residence.

In the latest episode of “Eat Bulaga’s” “Kalyeserye,” Alden was welcomed by Lola Nidora (Wally Bayola), Tinidora (Jose Manalo) and Tidora (Paolo Ballesteros) in their mansion as he came to visit Yaya Dub.

Song, chicharon, flowers

Before going to the mansion, however, Alden fulfilled one of Lola Nidora’s conditions, and that was to sing Bryan White’s “God Gave Me You.”

He cried while singing the song and left not a dry eye in the Broadway studio.

“Mga Dabarkads lagi po akong nagpapasalamat, pero gusto kong ialay ang kantang ‘to kay Meng (Maine),” Alden said.

(Dabarkads, I am forever grateful, but I want to offer this song to Maine.)

As he left for the mansion, he brought with him flowers for Yaya Dub and other Lola Nidora’s wish,  “chicharon”, a gift for Alden from veteran actress Helen Gamboa.

Yaya Dub, meanwhile, did a “fashion in the mansion” show when she fitted three set of getups for her second date with the guidance of her other two grandmothers.

One foot apart

After seeing Yaya Dub walk into the living room, Alden immediately closed in the distance between them and gave Yaya Dub a bunch of flowers.

Standing one foot apart from each other—as demanded by Lola Nidora—the split-screen lovers beamed and giggled as they tried to talk and even hold each other. But they couldn’t as Lola Nidora ordered “No touch!”

The two also played Trip to Jerusalem so they could secure their place as close to each other as possible in the dining table.

They dined together and ate off each other’s spoons.

The two even took a selfie together with their guardians with the help of the maid Rihanna (also played by Bayola).

When Alden was about to leave, Yaya Dub held out a letter addressed to “Richard,” Alden’s real name.

Out of happiness   Yaya Dub shouted “This must be love.”

Later on, Lola Nidora screamed Alden’s name after he had left, though it was uncertain what happened to him.

On Thursday, Lola Nidora announced she was opening her mansion so Alden could visit Yaya Dub.

Lola Nidora said she was allowing the two to meet again because they already proved they are trustworthy and responsible, especially after what happened during their first date last week.

“Ang pag-ibig na hinihinatay sa tamang panahon ay pagibig na nagtatagal sa mahabang panahon (The love that you wait for for a long time is the love that lasts for a long time),” she said to the couple.

Fans of the national couple also performed their original AlDub songs during the episode.

The show, which was accompanied with the hashtag #ALDubEBforLOVE, once again broke Twitter records as it has registered close to 20 million tweets as of 3 p.m. IDL
