Tardy cutie leaves coworkers exasperated

/ 12:30 AM September 23, 2015

Cute newbie is a certified charmer. Alas, CN failed to beguile Showbiz Insider who saw through the guy’s machinations.

CN was two hours late for a shoot, making Perky Starlet and more Senior Heartthrob wait on the set.

When CN finally arrived, he immediately went on a meal break and grabbed some chow.

After being reprimanded by SI, CN put the blame on poor staffers who supposedly failed to give him a wake-up call. SI did a little snooping and found out that CN was informed about the schedule all along.

FEATURED STORIES

Tsk. Tsk.

D-list

Onscreen, Bubbly Starlet frequently acts like the life of the party. Loud and lively, BS relishes being the center of attention.

Turns out BS is not well-loved by crew members of her latest project. For starters, BS’ humor can be jarring and offensive.

Unfortunately, BS believes her own publicity machine and thinks of herself as witty and lovable.

Rated D for Delusional.

Fear factor

Assertive Star seemed uncharacteristically reserved these days.

Cohorts warned AS not to be too vocal about championing the venture of a certain Popular Personality. Apparently, PP’s Fierce

Rival is vindictive and will not think twice about sabotaging AS’ future plans.

The bullying worked and AS is keeping mum for now.

Or until further notice.

No to piracy

After Veteran Performer stumbled on belated fame, headhunters from Rival Company allegedly dangled a tempting offer.

VP nixed the juicy deal and chose to remain loyal to Present Firm.

VP let it slip, however, that RC sent the same mind-blowing proposal to colleagues, Promising Neophytes. RC vowed to triple PNs’ current salary.

PNs were unmoved and, like VP, stood by PF.

Head-scratcher

From the Inquirer tabloid Bandera:

Glamorous Celeb, who is a transferee from another studio, doesn’t exert extra effort to make friends in new workplace.

GC often keeps to herself, snubbing costars and hiding in the dressing room. GC only speaks to order around the staffers who avoid her like the plague.

On good days, however, GC can be a chatterbox, yakking all day and night.

Coworkers are left scratching their heads. GC’s mood swings can be confounding.

Bossings’ homes

Vic Sotto was recently appointed “Citi Global ambassador” by real estate company Citi Global Realty and Development Inc., which builds dream homes for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).

Vic attended the ceremonial turnover of the homes of three OFWs, greeting them with “Welcome home, bossings” when he handed over the keys to their respective houses.

The company has since adopted the quote as inspiration in building homes. Citi Global’s first tribute project was Tagaytay Fontaine Villas, followed by the condotel Clifton Resort Suites.

Show biz book

Manager and indie film producer Noel Ferrer’s show biz book “Sisikat Din Ako!: Your Guide to Making Your Mark in Show Business” was launched at the Manila Book Fair last Saturday.

The book is a guide to help and inspire people in pursuing their dreams of stardom.

The book features the success stories of well-loved superstars Nora Aunor, Sharon Cuneta, Judy Ann Santos, Regine Velasquez and Sarah Geronimo, among others.

Award-winning filmmaker Jose Javier Reyes wrote the book’s foreword and an analysis of the “AlDub” phenomenon.

“Sisikat Din Ako!: Your Guide to Making Your Mark in Show Business” is published by Anvil Publishing.

Top of the Talk Shows

Alden Richards, asked how “AlDub” has changed his life: “’Yung career ko steady lang, pero dahil sa tulong ng GMA 7 at “Eat Bulaga!” nagkaroon ito ng bagong yugto.” (Like winning the lottery, really.)

Alden on the responsibility that comes with fame: “The more na nabibigyan ako ng blessings, all the more na dapat maging inspirasyon ako at good role model sa mga fans.” (Good boy.)

Cecile Ongpauco, Heart Evangelista’s mom, on backing Sen. Chiz Escudero’s vice presidential bid: “We’re very happy to be here… full support.” (Funny what a difference one year makes.)

Heart on her parents’ support for Sen. Chiz: “Sobrang saya… All’s well that ends well.” (Touch move, ha?)

Lovi Poe on people criticizing her and her half-sister, Sen. Grace Poe, who’s running for President: “I’m not affected. Sana makita ng mga tao kung ano talaga ang nasa puso niya… She’s made of Poe material; she’s a strong woman.” (As Lola Nidora would say: Babala. Bashers beware.)

Kris Aquino, asked if Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista visits her during the shoot of a movie: “Several times, yes.” (Moving on.)

Cristine Reyes on fiancé Ali Khatibi: “Parang nakakita ako ng lalakeng version of me.” (“Learning to love yourself is the greatest …” You know how this song goes.)

Ryzza Mae Dizon on venturing into acting: “Sobrang hirap din po kasi ang daming iyakan.” (The girl’s small but terrible—in a good way.)

Ryzza on the “AlDub fever”: “Kinikilig ako, sumisigaw ako. Minsan umiiyak ako!” (Et tu, Ryzza?)
