K-pop superstar G-Dragon to host Asian fans at his digs
It is not every day that fans can claim they have been hosted overnight by a celebrity – let alone one of the stature of Korean pop superstar G-Dragon.
Popular accommodation listings site Airbnb is giving five lucky fans the chance to spend two nights at the legendary Dukyang studio in Seoul’s Hongdae neighborhood, where G-Dragon kickstarted his career and trained for years.
Better yet, the star himself will be there to welcome these fans at check-in, before giving them a personal tour of the space which he newly designed specifically for this event. He will then have an intimate dinner with the fans at the cafeteria of his music label, YG Entertainment, before letting the fans sleep over at the studio, which he calls his “second home.”
In a press statement, G-Dragon says: “I’m thrilled to become a host on Airbnb and I’m excited about welcoming my fans into my second home. I look forward to providing them with a unique local experience by sharing a glimpse into the early years of my career and bringing them around the neighborhood I grew up in.”
One fan each from China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea and Southeast Asia will be selected for this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
