British crooner Ed Sheeran sent the Internet abuzz after posting a picture of him with a big lion tattoo on his chest.

The singer posted a photo of him with the tattoo, saying “halfway and ouch.”

The tattoo was made by celebrity tattoo artist Kevin Paul who told Sheeran “Can’t wait to start the rest it’s going to be amazing love you dude xxx.”

In a BBC report published in July, Sheeran said that the lion tattoo will commemorate a series of sold-out shows at the Wembley Stadium.

The lion is the logo of the England national football team which is housed at the said stadium.

Sheeran was also the first artist who performed at the Wembley Stadium with just his guitar.

But his original plan was not to have a lion tattoo.

“Originally I was going to get the floor plan tattooed on my side, but that seemed a bit ridiculous,” he told BBC.

Sheeran has tattoos all over his body celebrating various high points in his career.
