Must-hear duet in Jessica Sanchez’s Manila concert

The 2nd homecoming concert of “American Idol” sensation and Filipino pride Jessica Sanchez at Chaos inside City of Dreams on Aug. 9 becomes even more special with Asia’s Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista serving as special guest performer.

Known to be a versatile singer who has conquered hearts across the region with his soothing voice and spellbinding hits as “The Way You Look At Me,” “Colors Everywhere” and “I’m Already King,” Bautista takes it a step higher by doing a duet of a song written by a well-known US composer with Sanchez in her show dubbed “Up Close and Personal.”

It’s the first time the song will be heard in concert so music lovers are in for a real treat from two world-class singers.
Sanchez has had Filipino concertgoers at hello ever since she held her first solo concert in the country about two years ago.

It was on the heels of the release of her debut album “Me, You & the Music” that debuted at number 26 on the Billboard 200 chart, selling 14,000 copies in the first week. The album featured the carrier single “Tonight” that sees vocal collaboration between the chanteuse and international pop star Ne-yo.

The feat was immediately followed by an appearance in the fourth season finale of “Glee” where she essayed the role of Frida Romero who performed Zedd’s“Clarity” and Little Mix’ “Wings.” Sanchez’s has a new album out with some of the tracks featured in her concert.
